Biography

Cameron Law was born in Dallas, TX, and grew up just east of the city in Mesquite. There he learned the values of hard work, dedication, respect for others, and following your dreams relentlessly. In high school, he studied theater arts and found his true love for acting. He went on to study it in college, moved out to Los Angeles, CA, and found his biggest lesson learned in show business. Here's the story in his own words: "I moved out to LA to become an actor, and instead I became a banker. While working at the bank one day, I met a guy who would change my outlook on my acting career forever. He had his own production company and would come into the bank often, usually to make deposits. So one day, I asked him what kind of advice would he give to someone like me. He said, Cameron, you have 150,000 actors/actresses right here in LA trying to network, mingle with this person or that person, hoping to get hired by someone else. You have 15,000 directors/writers right here in just LA trying to do the same thing, not to mention people all over the world coming here hoping to get hired by someone else to make their dreams come true. What you don't have is very many people going out and creating their own content and making Hollywood watch them. When he said that, a light bulb moment went off in my head and I realized that if I'm going to have any kind of an acting career, I've got to take matters into my own hands. Within two weeks of that conversation, I quit my job at the bank. I told my boss at the time that I'm going to be too busy with traveling and building a career that I would no longer have time for a full-time job. From there, I bought up film equipment that I didn't even know how to use, moved back home to Texas to save money, got an agent, joined a weekly acting workshop, and began taping auditions to learn how to use the new equipment I just bought. I began writing my own projects and assembling a team of people who can help create movies. I worked on film sets as an actor and also picked up extra work in marketing so I could learn how to promote my films and grow a business. In creating my first project, the basis on the film is the story I just described. And so the journey begins."
